Now why was my partner telling me this and what does it mean for you? Just last week I shared with you my struggle for perfection and that I am doing something about it. This was another (much need) gut punch…I mean…check.
I was just putting the finishing touches on my new course – 501 See Profit– and I wondered aloud if it would excite people enough to take action. Maybe I needed to do some more work on it? That’s when she let me have it.
Does this happen to you?
Do you find yourself working on something – your next project at work, a new creative idea, a big campaign that needs to go live soon – and feel like you just need to do ONE more thing? Are you the kind of person that can rattle off ideas and suggestions for everyone else but feel stuck when it comes to your own stuff? Has this held you back?
So this got me thinking about how I could help my fab fundraising crew ( I can’t help myself okay!?! Sue me…)
When you are an overachiever; there probably aren’t a lot of people telling you ALL about yourself on a regular basis and helping you grow. In general, people think you’re great so it’s easy to miss when you are doing the most, being hard on yourself and don’t see your potential. You just might need a good whack (and a hug) that’ll get you back on track and headed in the direction you need to go.
If that’s true; SIGN UP for a deep dive session with me. It’s a small investment with BIG payoff and summer is the perfect time to get back on course and as you can see even I (yes meeeeee) needed a tune up too. Because let’s face it folks — if you can’t see yourself and all your awesomeness; no one else will either.
P.s. And if you have a friend, colleague or frenemy who you think needs a quick fix..send ‘em my way.

When looking for a thought partner, there are few people I trust more than Kishshana. She is that special, yet very rare, combination of capable do-er, visionary leader and likeable teammate. One thing that I've found to be an absolute strength is her ability to "see around curves". Kishshana is able to anticipate and foresee things that others may not pick up on because they do not have the depth and breadth of experience that Kishshana brings to each role. But even with this extensive experience, it has not made her apprehensive or conservative. She thinks big and takes calculated risks that lead to significant impact on teams and organizations. She is thoughtful in her approach and insightful in her analysis of each situation. Without trying, she puts those around her in a position to constantly learn from her and as her career has progressed, she has demonstrated that building teams and developing others is high on the list if many talents that she brings to the table.
All Stars Helping Kids has worked with Kishshana several times, all with excellent results. In the past, we brought her in to help us craft our Development Plan and Annual Plan, as well as work with our Board (on two occasions). She is always prepared and professional, bringing her expertise and years of experience to the interactions, while being warm, engaging, funny and (my favorite part) a bit irreverent. Most recently, we brought her in to lead a fundraising workshop with our grantees. She walked them through different styles of pitching, helped them focus on their ideal donor profile, and gain other much-needed skills. The workshop was entirely tailored to their needs and, thanks to her fantastic prep-work, the grantees left useful with take-aways, including her slide deck. I look forward to working with Kishshana again, and would recommend her to anyone looking for a polished, professional and personable expert!
Fuzion Artist & Athlete Management (Fuzion), in conjunction with The Que Agency, works with international athletes, departments of tourism and other international entities on brand management and marketing initiatives. When one of their athletic association clients wanted to educate their players on getting involved with philanthropy in their communities, Fuzion turned to Kishshana & Co. Through strategy sessions and in person workshops with the players, Kishshana was able to help athletes with a giving heart, understand how to give back in their communities and leave a legacy while doing it.
Kicking off a series of "Breakfast Club" seminars, Kishshana & Co. educated, informed and advised these professional athletes from seven different countries on how to make an impact utilizing their collective brands and resources. Over the last 5 years, these athletes have generated over $2M in philanthropy donations, goods and services for the communities* that they serve.
